Calls for projects

The context

Through its Call for Micro-Initiatives (CMI) and its Call for Projects in the Mediterranean Islands (CPMI), BeMed provides financial support to stakeholders in the field over a period of one to two years.

These projects can be of various types: from reduction of the use, to data collection, awareness-raising, waste management, recycling, advocacy and the search for alternatives to plastic.  They are part of a unique local context, which the project leader is familiar with.

Frequently asked questions

It is perfectly possible to take part in the call for micro-initiatives a second time once the previous project has been completed. However, only projects whose final reports have been received and analysed can be selected a second time.

We are not financing a festival, even one focusing on the reduction of single-use plastic. On the other hand, what could fall within the scope of eligibility for a BeMed initiative is a project supporting the festival’s transition to zero plastic and changing practices over the long term.

Partnerships are entirely possible, whether financial, technical or operational. In this case, a partnership letter will be requested from each partner.

Since the aim of our association is to tackle plastic pollution in the Mediterranean, we only support projects working in this area.
