On the 20th of April, the 3rd meeting of the BeMed Community of Practice took place on Zoom.
The objective of this meeting was to allow the 2023 laureates (selected during the Monaco Ocean Week in Monaco) to meet the laureates of the previous years, and to take time to exchange on their respective projects, to talk about their ambitions for their projects, to collect practical information on the challenges to come.
To facilitate the exchanges, the group was divided into discussion rooms that addressed various topics: waste management and collection on one side, participatory science and collection on the other, and finally model change and alternatives to plastic in the third. In short, current topics, which are at the heart of the activities of our laureates.
We at BeMed were delighted to welcome all the participants and to be able to attend these moments of exchange and sharing.
The subject of our next meeting will be just as exciting… following the vote of the attending members, we will present the turnkey methodology developed by BeMed for a 0 single-use plastic hotel, which is a current hot topic given the importance of the tourism industry in the Mediterranean region, and the pervasive presence of single-use plastics in the sector. If you would like to know more about the 0 single-use plastic method for hotels, you can follow the link here to register for an online webinar, or access the methodology online.
