This initiative will design and produce a card game, with 500 copies distributed to local schools and associations. The game’s objective is to highlight the impact of plastic debris in the sea on marine and human health. The cards will depict negative and positive behaviors, environmental and human factors, plastic sources, and best practices to reduce plastic pollution.
Players will learn about the connections between human activities and plastic presence in the sea, its dangers to marine life, and its impact on coastal communities. Virtuous behaviors will earn points, teaching players how to reduce these negative effects based on scientific evidence.
The initial phase involves game design with a consultant specializing in game-based science learning, coordinated and reviewed by DelTa biologists. DelTa will distribute the 500 copies and prepare a final version that can be independently printed and translated for wider use.
