Save the Med & Ibiza Preservation have launched their pilot phase ‘Plastic Free Balearics’

The Balearic Islands have taken another step towards becoming a more sustainable destination and have just introduced a law in the territory that aims to ban the use of various single-use plastic products, such as cups, cutlery, plates and plastic rings for can packs.

With this in mind, Save the Med and Ibiza Preservation have just launched their pilot phase “Plastic Free Balearics”. This new certification has been created to encourage the reduction of single-use plastics in hospitality businesses across the four islands and offers alternatives to help businesses eliminate single-use plastics and replace them with truly sustainable products.
