Facilitating dialogue between science, industry and society
As part of the Business Club, we facilitate dialogue between scientists, industry and civil society so that our members can ensure that their plastics strategies are relevant and effective. This dialogue enables our members to develop their skills, question preconceived ideas and share their expertise and best practices.

Our aim
To compare points of view, develop skills and disseminate knowledge. Technical fact sheets, based on contributions from experts on the subjects covered, bring together the key information and are available here.

Topics covered
Recycling, reuse, eliminating and reducing plastic, the economics of plastics, biodegradability issues, eco-design, changing materials, the links between plastics and health, and more to come.

What does it involve in practical terms?
The working group meets 5 or 6 times a year during webinars or the Business Club’s annual workshops. It tackles different topics by bringing in internal experts (scientists, companies, NGOs) or external experts with different points of view/approaches/issues.
Following the working sessions, we produce summaries of the discussions in the form of technical sheets :
